ELOÁ GONÇALVES
Brazilian pianist/composer Eloá Gonçalves presents a blend of sonorities that walks between the freedom of jazz plus references in classical and Brazilian music. Joined by Luis Oliveira (drums, Brazil) and Tobias Steinrück (bass, Austria), she presents the music of her debut album “Casa”, released under the Austrian label Alessa Records.
Eloá Gonçalves has performed all over Europe in jazz clubs and festivals such as Unterfahrt Jazz Club (Germany), Jazz im Generalihof Festival 2021 (Austria), Steyr Jazz Festival 2020 (Austria), Jazzwerkstatt Graz 2019 (Austria), and JazzFest Brno (Czech Republic).
She is also frequently performing in her homeland Brazil, at festivals such as the prestigious Savassi Festival or at Sesc venues and jazz clubs in the Sao Paulo music scene.
“Casa” has been mentioned by jazz critics in renowned magazines such as Downbeat (USA), Kulturní Magazín (Czech Republic), Jazz ‘Halo (Belgium), and Concerto (Austria). Also, the music has been played in radios such as Radio ORF (Vienna, Austria), Radio MEC (Brazil), Jazz FM (London, UK) and Steiermark Radio (Austria).
